Adoption Application - 2025

Thank you for your interest in adopting from the Community Cat Coalition of Southern California. Please fill out this adoption application fully and accurately. Misrepresentations will disqualify your application and any future applications to adopt from our rescue. Please note that we will follow up with every application, but that an application does not guarantee adoption.

Adoption Process:

  1. Browse our adoptable cats/kittens

  2. Fill out the 2025 adoption application

  3. Home visit/Meet and Greet with your potential new pet

  4. Pay adoption fee and fill out final paperwork

  5. Take your new cat home!

*Please note, we require that all cats are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption, or if too young at the time of adoption we will work with you to schedule an appointment for spay/neuter as part of the finalization of your adoption paperwork. We will cover the cost of the spay/neuter through our vet, but if you have a preferred vet you will be responsible for the spay/neuter procedure costs.

Adopters must be at least 18 years old. A valid photo ID is required. Renters should confirm their pet policy, including any deposit or additional rent requirements. If living with a roommate or parents, their approval for the adoption is needed. Adopters must be ready and able to commit time and resources for the cat's care and medical needs. All cats will come with their full medical record from their time in our care, and will be vaccinated. Due to the timing of booster vaccines, kittens may only have had their first dose at the time of adoption.

ADOPTION FEES:

  • Kittens (ages 8 weeks to 6 months - spay/neuter included) - $150 for 1, $225 for a bonded pair

  • Juveniles (age 7 months to 1 year - fixed) - $135

  • Adults (ages 1 year old and up - fixed) - $120

  • Seniors (estimated to be 7 years old or older) -$75-$100

These fees cover a small portion of the costs for the vet care our cats receive while in our care. We do not make money off our adoptions and our only goal is to match our cats with loving homes that are the right fit for their personalities and temperament. We ensure every cat is vaccinated, chipped and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. “Free” kittens often do not come vetted and the average costs for the vet care our cats receive total $260 - $500: Dewormer and Flea Treatment ($25-$50) Microchip ($25-45), Vaccinations ($25-35 each x3) Spay/Neuter Surgery ($135-300)
